Who we are
PlateLedger is operated by Illia Pereviazko (“PlateLedger,” “we,” or “us”). Questions and privacy requests: lomonosovmihail1@icloud.com.
Privacy at a glance
PlateLedger works without an account. Meal logs, profile settings, goals, and offline food searches are stored on your device. We do not sell personal information, show third-party ads, or use advertising trackers or third-party analytics SDKs.
Meal photos
Meal photos are analyzed on your device using bundled Core ML food models, visible-food geometry, and food-specific portion profiles. On supported cameras, PlateLedger also processes a temporary depth map and camera calibration to narrow the estimated portion-weight range. PlateLedger does not upload or retain the photo or depth map. When you choose a photo from your library, the app receives only the item you select.
Personal Portion Memory
When you correct an estimated weight, PlateLedger stores a bounded per-food adjustment on this device so future suggestions better match your portions. These correction factors contain no photo and are not uploaded.
Offline food reference data
The bundled reference catalog uses public-domain USDA FoodData Central Foundation Foods. Searching this offline catalog does not send your query to PlateLedger or USDA.
Barcode lookup
When you request a packaged-food lookup, the barcode number is sent directly to Open Food Facts to retrieve product data. Open Food Facts receives standard network information, such as your IP address, and its own privacy practices apply. PlateLedger sends no account identifier and does not use the request for advertising or tracking.
Apple Health
Health integration is optional. If enabled, PlateLedger writes dietary energy, protein, carbohydrates, total fat, and fiber to Apple Health. PlateLedger does not read existing Health data. Health information is not used for advertising or sold.
Purchases
Apple processes subscriptions and provides transaction and entitlement status. We do not receive full payment-card details.
Storage, export, and deletion
Meal data, profile settings, and goals stay in protected local app storage. PlateLedger disables CloudKit sync and excludes its local user-data library from iCloud Backup. Meal entries remain until you delete them, choose Delete All Meal Data, or remove the app. Apple Health samples are managed separately in Apple’s Health and Settings apps.
Children
PlateLedger is a general wellness app and is not part of the Kids category. It does not require an account or use advertising or analytics SDKs. Parents and guardians should supervise use by minors.
Changes
We may update this policy when the product or legal requirements change.
